POSCO FUTURE M

The government has re-certified POSCO Future M as an exemplary operator of family-friendly policies.

On the 18th, POSCO Future M was listed among the "Family-Friendly Companies of 2024" announced by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, extending its certification until 2027. Since its initial certification in 2016, the company has maintained over a decade of certification through subsequent extensions and re-certifications. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family awards certifications to companies and public institutions that have exemplary management systems for fostering a family-friendly work environment, with each certification valid for three years.

To enhance employee welfare, POSCO Future M operates family-friendly systems tailored to each life stage, encompassing marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. This year, the company increased marriage and childbirth bonuses and provided congratulatory gifts for employees with children entering elementary school, thereby reinforcing support for marriage and childbirth to address low birth rates. Additionally, POSCO Future M operates daycare centers for employees' children at its major locations in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, and Gwangyang, Jeonnam, and offers separate support funds to employees with family members who are disabled.

Notably, POSCO Future M is the first within the POSCO Group to implement a flexible work schedule that adjusts hours from Monday to Thursday, allowing for reduced Friday work hours, resulting in high employee satisfaction. Additionally, the company operates staggered commuting schedules to accommodate its employees' diverse work responsibilities and lifestyles.
